Iloilo Day 4 & 5

November 1 was the most hectic day of our lives.

It was the first time for me (yes, it is) to go to a cemetery. So I never experienced the traffic and the heat. Until Nov. 1, that is.

We went first on my dad's side and spent some quiet moments there. After which, we went to a pasalubong store and lugged off almost 3 boxes full of goodies for our friends here in Manila. We ate lunch at Nes and Tats (simply because they were the only ones open during that time, and mind you, the shops close because it's Nov. 1 except for SM and Robinsons of course). After eating, off we went to my cousins' place in Juntado and another subdivision which I forgot.

When we went there, we saw how Typhoon Frank damaged their house. Most of their furnitures and appliances were destroyed, and now all their things are elevated, if not relocated in the second floor of their house. I forgot to take a picture of the marks made by the water and mud combined. After visiting them, we went to the outskirts of the city and visited the next memorial, spent time with them and eventually went home, exhausted.

November 2 was the last day. We had a reunion with my mom's side of the family at Breakthrough restaurant where all fresh seafoods were served and so yummy! I got to see all my cousins and their children. Looking at my cousins and their children made me realize, hey, I am getting old. We have a new set of generation (you could check the pictures at my multiply site). We paid a bill of Php6k - take note, we are all 31 people. Unbelievable, ain't it? Pag sa Manila ka, 31 pax at 6k is not enough!

After lunch we went back to the house and started packing up. Manong B picked us up at around 5 and bought us to the airport. We checked in early and hang out in one of their coffee shops which was well-known in Iloilo. You would really see the difference in terms of prices in Iloilo and Manila especially airport food rates.

Finally, the plane came in and after an hour, we are home.

So there! I finished my Iloilo trip. In a few days, hubby and I will be in Baguio. Another entry to fill up!

Fully Booked Schedule

This time of the year is really a hectic period for all. Not only that it's a shortened period (last banking day is on December 24), but everything is in a rush and looonnngggg queues can be a bit irritating.

For me in particular, I need to finish EVERYTHING before December 19. You might ask why - because it's the last day for us in school, at the same time my nanny will have her off for 3 days so full-time mom ako nun. Also, we will be staying at my in-laws place until Christmas time so in short, domesticated ang buhay ko nun. But I'll be bringing some personal things to do (na sana magagawa ko). After Christmas, we will be at Cavite naman for the New Year before eventually go back to Manila and to the grind.

I just plotted my calendar for the coming weeks, and boy, looking at it made me exhausted! Sana and hopefully I'll be able to accomplish it all. Wish me luck!

A fellow egroup-mate of mine shared her daughter's not-so-good experience. As a mom, I feel for her and for her daughter. So sad. Here's the story:

This should stop. Seriously.

Baguio, here we come!

(this is taken from

I'm not yet done with my Iloilo experience and yet we are leaving again to the City of Pines to attend a friend's wedding. We won't bring the kids anymore kasi sandali lang kami dun and sayang lang ang pamasahe. Will do that if a longer time and vacation and budget permits.

Maybe we will celebrate his birthday and our anniversary there too.

Next stop will be the bus reservation.

Gosh, need to finish all my Iloilo postings!

Iloilo Day 2 and 3

Day 2 started at 7:30am with me preparing breakfast. Nothing fancy, just pancakes, sausages and egg. Pinaliguan ang 2 kids then fixed the house.

A little while later hubby prepared lunch for all of us and for the rest of the 2nd day, we stayed at home. No activity whatsoever except for me that I was really dead tired with all the chores plus taking care of the little one.

Third day.

Got up early again and prepared breakfast - this time a lot because my mom and my brother will be arriving on that day. They came in at around 9am, pretty much the same time we arrived. After eating and settling down, we again prepared for lunch and eventually went out. Woohoo! Nakalabas din kami sa lungga! hehe!

Went to my Tito's shop in downtown and eventually bought candles for our visit to the cemetery tomorrow. Also, my mom reserved a van for us to get around. Which was good. Arrived home and prepared dinner. Little boy is starting to get cranky so he went to bed early. And we have to kasi maaga kaming mag-iikot sa mga sementeryo at konting sight-seeing.

Iloilo Day 1 - October 29, 2008

Our day started at 4:45am.

Woke up, fixed ourselves and woke up the kids para makahabol sa check-in. I'm a stickler to time, especially when it comes to checking-in. Baka masaraduhan ka eh, hehe. Plus I have 2 kids in tow. So medyo magulo.

Sa NAIA 3 kami nag-check in and dun ko lang na-realize big time na matagal na akong hindi naglalakbay. (lalim, anoh?!) Dun ko lang na-appreciate yung early check in pero bonggang-bongga paghihintay yan not to mention the looonngg walk. The gate that we entered, haba na ng pila. After that, derecho na kami sa Air Philippines Check-in counter. Prior to this pala, my dad told us to bring extra food kasi baka ma-delay ang flight namin. Kasi my dad has the same flight schedule but it was delayed for 4 hours. Naku, mega handa ako at baka nga magkatotoo. At lagot talaga sila kapag nangyari yun!

While on the line, syempre, si Little Boy, takbo dito, takbo dun. Maya-maya may naamoy akong di-kanais-nais. After namin mag-check-in, pay kami ng terminal fee and the long walk begins.

After the terminal fee, may last xray booth kaming papasukin and isama mo sa xray booth and mga shoes. Buti na lang when I go on flights naka-sandals or slippers ako kaya madali. Hubby naman is thankful that he wore his crocs and not his rubber shoes. Same with the kids. After the last x-ray, off we went to the waiting area. Sus!

After namin palitan we waited a few minutes more then it was announced that we can board the plane. May advantage pala pag bitbit mo ang mga kids kasi mauuna ka mag-board along with the senior citizens. We boarded a shuttle kasi ang layo pala nung eroplano! Hehe. We couldn't take pictures during that time kasi ang photographer ay nanay muna. In the middle of the flight, the little boy dozed off until we landed at Iloilo. We arrived there sometime 830ish. Pero mabilis kasi yung baggage claim area malapit na sa exit, so nakuha na namin ang bags namin and we got out easily and saw my cousin who fetched us and brought us to my uncle's house where my dad is waiting.

Pagdating namin dun, wala pa yun uncle ko kasi nasa therapy session pa sya. Kaya we settled muna and rested for a moment before they arrived. Then for lunch, my dad and hubby went out to buy lunch (kaya dito pumasok ang pagiging Inday ko). Pagbalik namin and since maaga pa naman, na-idlip muna kami.

Pag dating ng dinner, nagluto kami ng pasta and we prepare a salad with salmon and bacon bits. Tuwang-tuwa ang tatay ko kasi for the first time daw, may matino daw silang kinain, hehe! We ended the day at 10pm with me finishing all the dishes and cleaned up the kitchen at the same time thinking what would be our breakfast for the second day.

I'm back!

Back from Iloilo.

Lots of kwento to post here.

For the meantime, will post the pictures in my multiply site.

The day before

Yep, this is the day before the D-day.

I got a lot of things to do; some personal errands to run and finally packing.

Last night, hubby and I went to MOA to do some shopping - not for me, but for him. We also looked around for a padlock for our suitcases. After all the walking, we plopped down at Chocolat, and ate dessert. Yummy! More on that later.

My present concern is that little boy doesn't want to drink from the disposable bottle that I got last weekend. Wah! Need to psyche him up real good. I plan to buy his milk supply when we get there para hindi madami ang aming bitbit. As it is, we are lugging in the nebulizer (in case he gets an attack) and lots of medicines.

Oops, gotta run. Have some things to do and meet up with a friend for lunch. Will try to post details and take pictures. This may be my last post for the month, if not, for the week. Advance happy weekend, everyone!

PS. please do join my plurk!

Prologue to the Iloilo Trip

This is an impromptu trip.

My uncle is sick, so the family decided that my dad should be the one to visit him, along with my mom. We decided to spend the health break at my in-laws (since the car was sold, we didn't have any means to go there lugging all our stuff). But my uncle is looking for ALL of us. So biglaan talaga ang trip.

My dad went ahead last Saturday. I thought all the while that he's there sometime 9am, but no, Air Philippines delayed the flight to 4 hours!!!!! Hay caramba!!! They gave excuses such as maintenance, etc. I know they have that, but they shouldn't offered the flight sched kung ganyan lang pala ka-tagal!

Anyway, got our tickets na. Gawd, ka-mahal. Kami pa lang ni hubby, 9k. Plus the 2 kids, mga 9k din. So aabot mga 18-20k. Hehe, oo daw.

Though I looked forward to the trip, feeling ko, full-time mader and yaya ako. Sana naman, pumayat pa ako, ano?!

Btw, it will be my little boy's first plane trip. So dapat i-document ito ng husto!

I'm sprucing up my blog!

I've added some elements, as you may have noticed. Will add more if I can sneak in the time.

Will try to post details of our trip to Iloilo - pre and post departure. :)

As for the pictures - check my multiply/facebook/friendster site.

Dami, ano? Hehe.

You assume too much.

Yes you.

For me it was just a friendly thing, catching up with what's happening in your life. No malicious intent nor pun intended.

I never thought you would look at it the other way around. Gawd. And you even had to tell your friends about it.

Let me tell you this: I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but it will never be that way. Yes, I cannot hide the fact that you're something catchy, but not at this time of my life.

I am very much and happily married, married the huggable, lovable (ok, ok, I'll add this) handsome guy that God gave me. And God blessed me with 2 adorable, rambunctious children. Wouldn't miss nor replace that for anything.

Did I make myself clear?!

PS. Wahahaha!!!
But, erghm, ehem... wag mag-ambisyon. Yun lang. Bow.

Another announcement

Hindi naman sunod-sunod ang posts, ano?!?!

Hindi naman obvious.

But I would like to announce that...

We are leaving for Iloilo come next week. I'm excited!

Why? Vacay, yes, but not fully vacay, but visiting my uncle who's sick for quite sometime. Nag-ro-roll call na daw kasi, kaya we need to go home.

Wag munang humirit ng pasalubong ha?! Susubukan.

Welcome to my new site!

Please bear with me.

I still have to do some updates :)

And, officially now, this is the place where you want to check what's happening in my life :)

Fish and Co.

We went to MOA last Sunday to check on possible plane flights. My folks are going home next weekend. While we were at MOA, we decided to eat at Fish and Co. It was a good experience.

We ordered Platter 2, if I'm not mistaken, Clam Chowder, Salad, Kid's meal, fish and chips and mussels. The seafood was really fresh. Clam chowder was taken cared of by my little boy, who finished it all up. Payat nga, lakas naman kumain. Le sigh. Hubby, bro and I ate the Platter 2 that consists of fries, shrimps, fish and chicken. The shrimps were really yummy, fish sweet and the fries - a bit spicy but okay. Little girl finished her kid's meal that consists of pasta. Since the little boy was a bit shy around people, the server gave him a complimentary balloon and iced tea. :)

Rating (1 as lowest, 5 highest):

Service - 5 - they really see to it that your needs are met, refillable drinks are replenished immediately and they fix your table to give way to your additional orders.

Food - 5 - literally, the seafood is fresh. Shrimps are yummy, fish is sweet and I think the mussels are also good (didn't get to eat them - takot ako eh!) The little boy likes the clam chowder.

Location - 4 - they have a branch in Makati - Greenbelt. Why 4?

Ambiance - 4 - we went there na walang masyadong tao. Because of that, the stroller can be parked near our table. Pero kung maraming tao, I doubt...

Over-all - 4.5 - I think mauulit ito, sulit naman eh :)
