Long Time

I know.

Many, many things have transpired during this time.

And I know you are curious enough to know what's happening.

As of date, here are the latest happenings:

Career - currently I am studying again - not MA / MS or even a PhD. Won't go into details, but when it is done, I'll let you know. I still work at the same place.

Family - my eldest just took her UPCAT. Yes, I have a graduating HS student whose raging hormones and stress are a not good combination. We get to clash every so often. My only prayer is that she'll make it through HS and College without any problem at all.

My youngest, on the other hand, is a bit sweet and sensitive. I hope and pray that he will be like that until he grows up.

There! That's my updates so far. Will keep you posted. Keep safe and dry!

During the holidays, it is normal (or customary?) for people to greet one another with hugs and kisses for posterity or simply greet each other with love. My love ones are used to that, holidays or not. And I make it a point that they get that often.

Might be the holiday bug or so, some people are extra nice lately. And I have no idea why. I'm not used to it.

Oh well, let's go with the flow. Let's see what happens. As they say in my language, "wala namang mawawala eh."

First quarter pa lang. Hindi pa tapos ang January. Nagsisimula pa lang ang 2013.

On a side note, remember my last post about my personal plans? Well, slowly but surely, I'm getting there. Too early to tell, but I can see some good signs! And it's starting in a few hours. Thank you God!

Have a great weekend everyone! Stay safe, happy, and grateful to God. Don't forget to visit Him on Sunday!

Cheers to 2012!!!!

In just a few days (or hours), 2013 is upon us.

I am thankful to God for so many things.

I am thankful for giving me another year to see my children grow. For me to grow (hopefully) wiser and be dependent solely on Him and Him alone.

I am thankful for giving me the opportunity to work, and for God blessing it.

I am thankful for the consultancy projects that were given to me. Every month I have one.

I am thankful that I have supportive parents, particularly my mom.

I am thankful that my health is generally okay.

I am thankful for all the provisions that were given to us - food, shelter, clothing, finances.

I am thankful for protecting us from harm.

But most of all, I am thankful for His patience, love and never letting me go in times that I felt so alone.

And I feel that He will still do that in 2013, especially with the verse that He has given me and the tasks that I listed down. What are they, you might ask. I'll put it in categories - Spiritual, Personal, Family and Career. Each has its own sub-tasks and they have their own metrics by December 15, 2013 (that's my personal deadline). I'll update you for progress :)

Curious about my verse? Read Philippians 4:11 and 13.

Streamlining accounts

With the announcement of Multiply that they are shutting down the blogs and photos side (but will retain the online selling), I fixed my account at Multiply, deleted some entries (some of which are found here), some personal entries and photos deleted also and some photos were saved to my drive. So, I just left a few notes and pictures for the satisfying spies - er, public to feast their eyes on.

And by the way, thank you for the warm reception at my last post (iba talaga pag sikat; or better yet, some people are really that interested in my life). It made me realize that there are people who are still interested at what's happening in my life. Well, you can get it, but in an edited version or... some things are better said to very good friends who still accepts me even if I am a PSYCHO to others. I do miss those people.

The return of the comeback

I am back. (hopefully)

I will be posting some random thoughts (as my title suggests) about what has happened to the past years I have been missing.

A lot has happened from the time I stopped until now.

And it sometimes drives me crazy (no wonder I was called a psycho. Haha!)

Let's see if I can gather my thoughts (oh, I hope I have that wand or spell like the one in Harry Potter where they can extract the memory and put it in the pensieve. My, that would be interesting...)

Just to give you an idea:

1. Family. Oh, the experiences! It's a roller-coaster ride

2. Career. Grateful that I am still here for more than 10 years already. Everyday is a new learning.

3. Personal. Goals reached and re-assigned if not accomplished. Well, a batting average score of 4 out of 5 goals is not that bad, right? And besides, I'm a work in progress.

I hope I can blog based on those categories!

Before the year ends

I know! I'm busy as a bee (though some of my lurkers and spies cannot believe it), I miss posting here. The reason why I have the time now is because I'm watching R while she sleeps. You see, dear lurker / spy, R has fever and somehow the temp has improved. Slightly. And I realized that I haven't been updating you as I know you've been itching to know what has happened to me. Admittedly, a lot of things had happened since the time of my last post and as much as I want to put it here, I might be misconstrued again and be accused of being a psycho. So I leave that personal part to my other blog into which I know you have plans of looking around. You see, dear lurker/spy, I changed some of my settings so that you don't know or see anything that is happening to me. What you see is what you getI leave that to my fellow psycho friends to read because we rarely have the time to meet and catch up with each other.

Anyway, as I were saying, before the year ends, I want to revisit and update the status of my plans that I have plotted out early this year:

1. Take my CS Exam.
- was supposed to do it last September but circumstances during that time didn't allow me to. It became a blessing in disguise, as I can really schedule and prepare this for summer - April 2011.

2. Defend my masters.
- didn't do it again. Guess time and work swamped me, but that's not an excuse. Right now I'm trying some other options which hopefully will work out.

3. Financially independent and stable.
- accomplished! And I am pretty happy with the progress so far. Little by little, I'm getting there.

4. Have a fulfilling career as a working mom.
- accomplished! I would like to believe that I have a good work-life balance. =)

5. Will spend quality time with children. Set separate dates for each. (though I already started with the little girl)
- accomplished! Kumon period / Saturdays for R, Sundays with G.

6. Open an online store to augment my income.
- as my Multiply site says, "A work in progress". Still it is. But what took its place is my sidelines / rakets / consultancy work. Yes, I do have and I am thankful to God that I never ran out of that. Almost every month I have 1 or 2 sidelines. If I don't have sidelines, God gives me something that I don't expect. Great help, indeed. So what's the verdict? Still accomplished!

7. Set Wednesdays for mass. To make it more as a commitment, I'll be hearing masses at the Shrine of Jesus.
- almost accomplished. If I can't do it at the Shrine, at least in the chapel near our area. And may I add that there are days that I go to mass also?

Oh-kay. Out of 7 tasks / goals / plans that I have for 2010, I accomplished...5 out 7 (if you count the last one). Not bad, not bad at all. And since my birthday is coming up, I'm planning to do some personal planning (again) as I think I can't do that during the season in preparation for 2011. But definitely I want fireworks during the New Year to drive away the bad luck and evil spirits and lurkers / spies. Hmm, since we're going to Binondo, might as well look for incense for that.

Much delayed posts

Yeah, I know. It's been a while. Busy with other things and somehow was challenged on the homefront. Won't post that because I might be misconstrued. Again.

What I'll post now is the birthdays of my kids (as one of my pending posts) and some updates as well.

Last April saw R turning 11 and G turning 4. We had a simple celebration - just celebrated dinner at home with me cooking the food and bought chicken from San Pedro and liempo from Andoks. It was also thanksgiving party for R because she passed her 5th grade with flying colors.

June saw me busy with the opening of classes, and I never felt so busy! More on that later.

Till then, my dear lurker / spy. So that you know what's happening in my life. But definitely, I haven't forgotten what you did and I'm taking it one day at a time.
