Before the year ends

I know! I'm busy as a bee (though some of my lurkers and spies cannot believe it), I miss posting here. The reason why I have the time now is because I'm watching R while she sleeps. You see, dear lurker / spy, R has fever and somehow the temp has improved. Slightly. And I realized that I haven't been updating you as I know you've been itching to know what has happened to me. Admittedly, a lot of things had happened since the time of my last post and as much as I want to put it here, I might be misconstrued again and be accused of being a psycho. So I leave that personal part to my other blog into which I know you have plans of looking around. You see, dear lurker/spy, I changed some of my settings so that you don't know or see anything that is happening to me. What you see is what you getI leave that to my fellow psycho friends to read because we rarely have the time to meet and catch up with each other.

Anyway, as I were saying, before the year ends, I want to revisit and update the status of my plans that I have plotted out early this year:

1. Take my CS Exam.
- was supposed to do it last September but circumstances during that time didn't allow me to. It became a blessing in disguise, as I can really schedule and prepare this for summer - April 2011.

2. Defend my masters.
- didn't do it again. Guess time and work swamped me, but that's not an excuse. Right now I'm trying some other options which hopefully will work out.

3. Financially independent and stable.
- accomplished! And I am pretty happy with the progress so far. Little by little, I'm getting there.

4. Have a fulfilling career as a working mom.
- accomplished! I would like to believe that I have a good work-life balance. =)

5. Will spend quality time with children. Set separate dates for each. (though I already started with the little girl)
- accomplished! Kumon period / Saturdays for R, Sundays with G.

6. Open an online store to augment my income.
- as my Multiply site says, "A work in progress". Still it is. But what took its place is my sidelines / rakets / consultancy work. Yes, I do have and I am thankful to God that I never ran out of that. Almost every month I have 1 or 2 sidelines. If I don't have sidelines, God gives me something that I don't expect. Great help, indeed. So what's the verdict? Still accomplished!

7. Set Wednesdays for mass. To make it more as a commitment, I'll be hearing masses at the Shrine of Jesus.
- almost accomplished. If I can't do it at the Shrine, at least in the chapel near our area. And may I add that there are days that I go to mass also?

Oh-kay. Out of 7 tasks / goals / plans that I have for 2010, I accomplished...5 out 7 (if you count the last one). Not bad, not bad at all. And since my birthday is coming up, I'm planning to do some personal planning (again) as I think I can't do that during the season in preparation for 2011. But definitely I want fireworks during the New Year to drive away the bad luck and evil spirits and lurkers / spies. Hmm, since we're going to Binondo, might as well look for incense for that.

Much delayed posts

Yeah, I know. It's been a while. Busy with other things and somehow was challenged on the homefront. Won't post that because I might be misconstrued. Again.

What I'll post now is the birthdays of my kids (as one of my pending posts) and some updates as well.

Last April saw R turning 11 and G turning 4. We had a simple celebration - just celebrated dinner at home with me cooking the food and bought chicken from San Pedro and liempo from Andoks. It was also thanksgiving party for R because she passed her 5th grade with flying colors.

June saw me busy with the opening of classes, and I never felt so busy! More on that later.

Till then, my dear lurker / spy. So that you know what's happening in my life. But definitely, I haven't forgotten what you did and I'm taking it one day at a time.

My 2 experiments - er, projects

Easter Sunday saw me doing some personal projects which I am somehow proud to say.. successful heehee.

This is experiment #1. I made these figures from plaster of paris and my molds came from an ice cube maker with shapes (for lack of a better term) The red ones are painted from poster paint, which I should say, not that ok because they have a sort-of a matte finish. A professor in fine arts confirmed that I should paint them with acrylic for it to be shiny and glossy and prior to that, varnish it first for long-lasting color. Poster paint, on the other hand, can be removed since it is water based.

Update: Just got a few acrylic paints (it's a bit expensive, so I realized) and will paint them as soon as I can.

Experiment #2. From this pile of scratch papers (which my little girl and I accumulated during the school year)....

To this...

Just add padding glue, and voila! I have 3 "pad papers"!! Now we have papers to write on and make reviewers for this coming school year.

Except for the plaster of paris which I am not yet done, I should say I am pretty proud of what I did :)

Liliw trip

Last April 10 saw me and my MOH boarding a bus going to Liliw.

It was a long, overdue trip for us since we always schedule and yet get cancelled for personal or non-negotiable reasons.

Finally, we hit off the road!! For more pictures, you can check my Facebook account.

Some pending posts

I want to have my posts with pictures but as of the moment, I didn't upload them yet. (heehee)

To sum up, here are my pending posts:

1) My 2 experiments - er, projects
2) The little girl's birthday
3) The little boy's birthday

After these posts, then I'll move on to my list.

How am I lately? I'm taking it one day at a time. It's a work in progress.

You

My accounts were compromised because of you.

Because you wanted to know what's happening.

I have forgiven you, but definitely I haven't forgotten what you did to me.

And it will take time to be healed from the hurt that you caused.

I hope that you're happy with what you did.

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter everyone!

My Holy Week was good and a lot happened and this post will tell it all.

It was our Institutional Shutdown that's why I have a short vacation. It gave me time to prepare my things for Cavite and made some personal errands as well.

Holy Monday saw me accompanying my mom to Padre Pio's shrine in C5. It was an oasis amidst the busy metropolis. There I made my prayers and petitions and asked for Padre Pio's intercession that my prayers be answered.

My parents and my kids left for Cavite on Holy Tuesday. That leaves me and hubby alone - him still having work and me to meet up with a friend and will be having a meeting on Holy Wednesday. During this day, I did my personal errands and meet up with my friend. Then I got news that my meeting was cancelled. It was okay, because at least it gives me time to prepare and to fix some last-minute to do's before locking up our place. Also bought additional locks for the house as well.

Since it was declared that Holy Wednesday is half-day for some companies, I decided to go to SM Manila to wait up for hubby and my MIL and to do some last-minute shopping for the things that are needed. While waiting for them, I went to Watson's to buy cologne. While trying out the samples, an old lady passed by and smelled the cologne that I recently sprayed on. She asked what's the scent because she liked the smell and gave her a new bottle. She even thanked me (On a personal note, I think Watson's should get me as their endorser! Joke)! We then ate lunch at Savory and went home. Hubby and I followed my parents to SM DasmariƱas and I bought a prepaid card for my plug-in and ate dinner at Ted's. I ended the day (well actually, the following day at that) finishing doing the minutes and the constitution of my professional organization.

On Maundy Thursday we went to Tagaytay to hear mass. While hearing mass, I was overwhelmed again with my emotions (maybe because it is during this time that I got to stop and think) and cried to God. Oh he knows what they are. We went home and I did some home-made hair spa and rested. Started to read on my materials too.

Good Friday saw us going back to Tagaytay again to do the Stations of the Cross and the Veneration of the Cross. Ended the day at Teriyaki Boy. We went back to Manila on Black Saturday and attended the Easter Vigil at Ateneo.

Easter Sunday and Monday saw me doing some spring cleaning. Cleaned up most of the little girl's stuff and our room as well. Disposed nearly 3-4 garbage bags of trash. The rest, I have done some personal projects on it.

Well, dear lurkers and spies, that sums up my Holy Week activities. I'm sure you're itching to know what happened to me during that time and here they are :) Enjoy reading, gloating and commenting!
